    writerslounge.net is a worldwide community portal and social network for people who love to read and write poetry of any kind.
  2. Do I have to register to read poems?
    Public users (users who are not logged in) can read all poems that have been published during the past 3 months. If you want to get free access to our full poem library, you have to register. But don't worry, it's fast and easy. And most of all, it's absolutely free!
  3. What are the benefits of registered readers?
    Once you are registered and logged in, you get full access to all poems in the library. You can post comments on all poems, get related poems with each poem you are reading, and you can directly contact the poem's author. In addition you get a personal profile page, can post status messages, follow writers, and see related user activities as well as news and updates. You also have your own Mailbox to easily communicate with other users on the site. If you're registered as a reader you can upgrade and become a writer at any time simply by editing your account settings.
  4. What are the benefits of registered writers?
    Registered writers get all benefits for registered readers as mentioned above. In addition of course it's all about publishing poems for free. Once you are logged in, you can immediately start submitting your poems. On your account dashboard you will see your statistics including information on your poem submission, views by visitors, comments, etc. You can share pesonal messages with your followers and interact with readers and other writers. If you have questions or problems, our editorial or support team will be glad to assist you.
  5. I have registered, but I cannot login!
    After you have successfully submitted your registration, you will immediately receive an e-mail confirmation to your registered e-mail address. If you don't see it in your Inbox, it might have been blocked by your mailserver. Check your spam folder. If you cannot find the confirmation e-mail, contact our support. You have to follow the activation link in this e-mail to proceed with your login.
  6. I don't know my password anymore.
    Below the login form in the homepage header you find a link to generate a new password. Simply enter your registered e-mail address and a new password will be sent to you.
  7. Can I change my poems after they are published?
    It is not possible to edit the content of a published poem. You can easily hide your poems, if you want to change anything else please contact the editor.
  8. I cannot submit a new poem!
    You can submit up to 3 poems at once. After that you will have to wait until a poem has been processed to upload a new one.
  9. Why has my poem been rejected?
    Our editorial team tries to publish as many submitted poems as possible. Please understand that in some cases however poems will not be accepted for a publication on this site. You will instantly receive a confirmation e-mail when this happens including a short explanation for the decision. Common reasons for poem rejections are: poem has been written in upper case only; poem contains offending language or illegal content; the same poem has already been published or submitted before; poem is not written in English. If this happens, it doesn't mean that you are a bad writer. Continue and try to submit another poem.
  10. I don't like a comment on my poem, what can I do?
    Since this is an open platform where registered readers can share their opinion on poems, we will not remove poems that may contain a negative opinion. But please note that our editorial team also reads through all posted comments and will remove them in case they do not relate to the poem, include offending language, or are not written in English.
