»Island«

by Andreas Buchholz

I'm sailin' through a hurricane,
through stormy winds of loss and pain,
the waves are troubled, they are blue,
like a wild beast whose hunger grew.

Is there an island
in the sea of my tears?
I need an island
in this ocean of fears.

I can't help but think
my boat's gonna sink
into the deep dark well.
My soul shall be drowned,
my dream's on the ground,
from heaven back to hell.

I thought I'd cross some pool of love
reflecting crystal stars above,
for you and me and ev'ryone
shinin' beneath the golden sun.

Is there an island
in the sea of my tears?
I need an island
in this ocean of fears.

Those who sailed with me
were taken by sea.
they are all gone away.
Behind the black wall
that shall burn and fall,
we'll meet again some day.

I'm sailin' through a hurricane,
through stormy winds of loss and pain,
the waves are troubled, they are blue,
like a wild beast whose hunger grew.

Is there an island
in the sea of my tears?
I need an island
in this ocean of fears.
