»They all say«

by Laura Arman

They all say,
I am beautiful,
I am amazing,
The perfect prize,

They all use these words,
To show me that they care,
But I don't,
I can't.

Apparently its obvious to the world,
They can't keep their hands off me,
It seems,
I'm not a trophy,

It's true that my heart was twisted,
My body dented,
My soul crushed,
And only tears

My heart
Does not want them,
Or their advances,
And cheap words.

Because my soul,
Is still yearning,
Still begging to recover,
But hoping,

It seems,
I could have whatever I want,
Apart from one thing,
you.
