Other poems by Andreas Buchholz:
»Eye In The Sky«
When the skies are blue
Over the mountain, over the sea,
The eye's shinin' bright,
My ol' blue eye, too.
Come dark clouds or rain,
Heavy and pourin', hard as can be,
The eye keeps the light,
I don't mind the pain.
Eye in the sky,
Ruler of my spring,
Songbirds they fly,
Let the new morning sing.
You make flowers grow
Here in the meadows, down by the mill.
You colour the air,
You make rivers flow.
Like the Lord above,
There in his heaven, over the hill,
You're gentle and fair,
Givin' peace and love.
Eye in the sky,
Ruler of my fall,
Way up so high,
You're the iris of all.
Weary willows weep,
Sky's turnin' purple, evening's near.
Take care of your sheep
Till they fall asleep.
Eye in the sky,
Ruler of my soul,
Time for goodbye
When the night takes its toll.
Over the mountain, over the sea,
The eye's shinin' bright,
My ol' blue eye, too.
Come dark clouds or rain,
Heavy and pourin', hard as can be,
The eye keeps the light,
I don't mind the pain.
Eye in the sky,
Ruler of my spring,
Songbirds they fly,
Let the new morning sing.
You make flowers grow
Here in the meadows, down by the mill.
You colour the air,
You make rivers flow.
Like the Lord above,
There in his heaven, over the hill,
You're gentle and fair,
Givin' peace and love.
Eye in the sky,
Ruler of my fall,
Way up so high,
You're the iris of all.
Weary willows weep,
Sky's turnin' purple, evening's near.
Take care of your sheep
Till they fall asleep.
Eye in the sky,
Ruler of my soul,
Time for goodbye
When the night takes its toll.
