»Sing Our Song«
by Christopher Kudyahakudadirwe
This is a song of pain
When there is no rain.
This is a song of pain
When everything is in vain
This is a song of poverty
When our minds lack liberty.
This song gives us heart
When our hearts are hurt.
This song has the grit of suffering,
Sorrow, poverty and social dithering.
Come! Come our brothers
Come! Come our sisters
We know the words are bitter
We know their meaning is deeper.
Let's sing together this song
For we did not commit any wrong.
When there is no rain.
This is a song of pain
When everything is in vain
This is a song of poverty
When our minds lack liberty.
This song gives us heart
When our hearts are hurt.
This song has the grit of suffering,
Sorrow, poverty and social dithering.
Come! Come our brothers
Come! Come our sisters
We know the words are bitter
We know their meaning is deeper.
Let's sing together this song
For we did not commit any wrong.
