Other poems by Andreas Buchholz:
»Why Skies Are Blue«
Why, oh why
Sky, dear sky
Why are you
Why are skies so blue?
You are the fancy bed of love
For all those silver stars above
You watch the sunball rise and set
You touched the angels that you met
You fed the pretty birds that flew
So why, oh why are skies so blue?
You are good grandma to the earth
You know what poor old souls are worth
You saw the waters wide and deep
And climbed the mountains high and steep
You are free like the winds that grew
So why, oh why are skies so blue?
Why, oh why
Sky, dear sky
Why are you
Why are skies so blue?
Your country's beauty's like a dream
Beneath white clouds as soft as cream
In springtime crimson flowers glow
Released from jails of frost and snow
You make your kingdom start anew
So why, oh why are skies so blue?
Why, oh why
Sky, dear sky
Why are you
Why are skies so blue?
People cry
And that's why
That's why you
That's why skies feel blue
Sky, dear sky
Why are you
Why are skies so blue?
You are the fancy bed of love
For all those silver stars above
You watch the sunball rise and set
You touched the angels that you met
You fed the pretty birds that flew
So why, oh why are skies so blue?
You are good grandma to the earth
You know what poor old souls are worth
You saw the waters wide and deep
And climbed the mountains high and steep
You are free like the winds that grew
So why, oh why are skies so blue?
Why, oh why
Sky, dear sky
Why are you
Why are skies so blue?
Your country's beauty's like a dream
Beneath white clouds as soft as cream
In springtime crimson flowers glow
Released from jails of frost and snow
You make your kingdom start anew
So why, oh why are skies so blue?
Why, oh why
Sky, dear sky
Why are you
Why are skies so blue?
People cry
And that's why
That's why you
That's why skies feel blue
