»Loving Lullaby«

(by Andreas Buchholz)

Lay, my darling, 'cross my bed,
on my shoulder lay your head.
Let me feel you breathe so still
counting sheep upon the hill.

Sleep, my darling, sleep so sweet,
let me hear your dear heart beat.
Let me see you close your eyes,
when the moon and stars will rise.

Touch me, darling, take my hand,
I'll be with you where you stand.
If you need a place to hide,
these two arms are open wide.

Dream, my darling, dream so sweet,
Maybe in your dream we'll meet
on the paths of milkyway,
we'll be back at break of day.

When you'll wake up with the sun,
I'll still be the chosen one,
holding you and loving you
while the sky gets bright and blue.

My love's oh so true and strong.
I'll take you where you belong,
bring you to the land of light,
always help you through the night.
