»Fields of dreams«

by Byron Coetzee

A kiss that lasts the span of time
and makes me feel like I'm alive
with lips so soft they make me dream of all the things
I long to feel
for in the fields that make my dreams
my heart can be forever free

And as the rains fall gently down
and bath your hair in summer light
I think and feel like I'm asleep
in times of hope and gentle dreams

I lie down in my field of dreams
and feel the touch of such a dream
but I'm awake and my dream fades
but in my soul. This dream is made.

Beauty is a gift to the world. The kiss under the summer rain.
I long to feel like I am free. Forever lost inside my dreams.
I walk inside my field of dreams and wait for you to find me there.
