»The Starlight girl«

by Byron Coetzee

I walk across this beach tonight
as waves wash up like silver light
I sing a song for one I care
with mellow tones and somber tears

The Starlight girl. With eyes like jewels
with skin like silk, and smile of light
She takes me deep, into her life

and as we dance, on shores of white
I hold her close in evening light
And as we kiss, the tears to fade
and we stare into each others eyes

For Starlight girl. The one for me
The one with hopes and all my dreams
I take you too Heaven's gates
with just one kiss, we sealed our fate.
