»Gratitude prayer«

by Shirley Joan Von Weichardt

I thank you Lord for my mother,
My father, sisters and brother -
For the love of my family,
As well as friends who stand by me.
I thank you for the food I eat,
The winter's cold, the summer's heat,
The trees, flowers, the birds that fly,
The moon and stars up in the sky.
And most of all I do thank Thee
For all blessings bestowed on me.
