»The meaning of loneliness«
by Christopher Kudyahakudadirwe
The curtainless window,
Through which my imagination ran out
To collect many waning meaningless yesterdays,
Gapped at the empty tapestry
Of my Sahara harassed life.
What is it to be marooned
on this island of loneliness?
It is when we restart conversations
that we never had, and
visit memories never remembered;
It is when we share kisses
that we never exchanged, and
keep vows that we never made.
Through which my imagination ran out
To collect many waning meaningless yesterdays,
Gapped at the empty tapestry
Of my Sahara harassed life.
What is it to be marooned
on this island of loneliness?
It is when we restart conversations
that we never had, and
visit memories never remembered;
It is when we share kisses
that we never exchanged, and
keep vows that we never made.
