»The Suspense Of Waiting«

by Josh Hay

I want to stay alive, I want to live till the end of the life flow that is in me, is this the end for me? We are meant to fall, to fall astray from the portraits of life, that we see in the mirror, that we made with our imaginations, our minds are slipping, for the potraits we used to portray, using time to our advantage, we let people in, ruining our lives with lies and destruction. Let me go as I will be, I will never sell myself. I was meant to die young, but through struggle I prevailed, through fire and water, hell was paved with gold. My eyes no longer sheds tears, now I shed blood through my eyes, because of what I saw in my life, in such few years, I have seen so much pain, and now the taste of regret is in my mouth, and the end is near, the suspense of waiting is now over, and now the sheets are torn, and now I go back into the well, where the shadows dance.
