»Reverse Coda«

by Josh Hay

This moment is fading out, our memories fading into the darkness, our last hope remains in the the shadows, we can't go on without a remedy, we needed a cure. Our minds we're burning, spreading through our body, pain without release, our minds are slipping through the sand, with blood on our hands. Slaving for our solace of mind, where was our prize? We pulled off the bandage, and revealed the scars underneath, and the memories behind it, and when we stop to listen, we pulled away. Nothing feels real anymore, our hearts slaving for a beat. A moment of silence came to our minds, as we remembered what we used to have in our throughs, this calm we once knew, we thought it would last for a lifetime, but what we found, was the everlasting torture, that we drew upon ourselves, this poison has taken over. Where was the heart in all of this?
