»Waiting«

by Casey Samantha Boshoff

As I wait for your car
To pitch up outside,
I dread the words
That I've cried.
Into my heart
A knife has been stabbed,
It's easier for me
To just be mad.
My heart is breaking,
My tears are running,
My world is shaking,
My friend isn't coming.

I know it's hard
To look in my your eyes,
I just wish my reasons
Were actually lies.
I can't explain
How I feel inside.
To me right now
I wish I'd died.
Still my heart is breaking,
My tears are running,
My world is shaking,
Because my friend isn't coming.

I wish in your heart
You really did care,
Instead I only get
A cold hard stare.
If you could just be honest
And tell me how you feel,
I would never in my life
Have made that stupid deal.
But my heart is breaking now,
And my tears are running,
My world is shaking all because
My friend isn't coming.
