Other poems by Casey Samantha Boshoff:
»What Would Happen To You?«
I lied today,
I had the truth from you
I pretended not to know
But somehow you lied for me today
I cried today,
I sobbed my heart out
I let all my tears disappear
But somehow you cried for me today
I died today,
I watched my life fade
I finally closed my eyes
But somehow you died for me today
If I lied today
What would you say?
If I cried today
What would you do?
If I died today
What would happen to you?
I had the truth from you
I pretended not to know
But somehow you lied for me today
I cried today,
I sobbed my heart out
I let all my tears disappear
But somehow you cried for me today
I died today,
I watched my life fade
I finally closed my eyes
But somehow you died for me today
If I lied today
What would you say?
If I cried today
What would you do?
If I died today
What would happen to you?

MmaphelaLylian Kgatla: "the poem is straight forward and hit to the heart. you ask yourself rely what would happen if something terreble can happen to me today"
