»Awkward«
Awkward is the way I feel when you are not around
The way I smile and play happy, Something so profound
Inside me there are emotions, fused together to form love I know is true
How am I supposed to move forward, when the one I want is you
Awkwardly I move onward, trying to fool myself that it's run it's course
But still each day I am overwhelmed by this powerful attractive force
I know that we still meet each night behind closed eyes at our special apple tree
Where we exchange love, stories, laughs and our own unique intimacy
Awkwardness fills the space between us, blocking that which we know for sure
That nothing ever felt this way
The way we shine together, so pure
It's difficult to open my heart up to another when it's already occupied by you
It's even harder to know deep down inside that you have the same feelings as I do
Awkwardly I live this life, wishing you nearer to me each day
Awkward feelings within me, stronger than I can ever convey
Awkwardness can be overcome with a simple pride in the pocket display
Awkward silence, So deafening
Awkward love, So gracefully appealing
The way I smile and play happy, Something so profound
Inside me there are emotions, fused together to form love I know is true
How am I supposed to move forward, when the one I want is you
Awkwardly I move onward, trying to fool myself that it's run it's course
But still each day I am overwhelmed by this powerful attractive force
