»A rush of thoughts«

by Laura Arman

I do believe that nothing of value comes at an easy price,
nothing worth believing in is ever thought of twice,
A soulmate is someone who inspires you to go on,
who edges you forward, when all your will power is gone.
Loving somebody is purely a matter of grace,
and finding that person takes time and space.
Patience is somthing you cannot buy,
but a gift that is learnt as a thousand mistakes go by.
Hoping in someone is not always fair,
to place all your trust and faith in a person who may not be there.
But accepting yourself and your godforsaken life,
can be encouraged with anothers unspoken time.

Now that I think I have learnt how to love you
without expecting anything to come true.
I don't seek your justification or a smile at my faults,
this is no jurisdiction, or a joke.
I want to nourish our friendship and help you be strong,
I will be there standing even though they all think you're wrong.
It's not unrequited and it's not unfair,
It's just me being here and showing you I care.
I won't be disconcerted if you can't give me anything back,
and even if you shun me I won't give you no slack,
because I do treasure you more than I ever could have imagined,
I have an overwhelming feeling that's more than just passion.
It's more than a kiss, and holding your hand,
It's not even wishing we could be more than friends.
It's just the peace that I feel wth you,
and a small belief that what we have is true.
