»Friendship«

by Christopher Kudyahakudadirwe

Friendship stands on one side
And laughs at another's silliness
Without them feeling any tartness.
It listens to the sound
Of one hand clapping
Applauding apparent foolishness.
It dissolves boundaries
Of individuality and replaces them
With the commonality and conviviality of companionship,
Firing painful love shots
At hardened hearts a-hurting.
Friendship, soothes, rinses Bleaches, washes and whitens
Hearts darkened by hate.
Are one such?

  •  Rathnashikamani Bijja: "My heart aches when I read such poems on true friendship. Today early morning I got a mail from Writerslounge informing that my poet friend Moments In Time has lost her battle to Cancer, and she has passed away. I lament her demise. We miss her. This poem celebrate the feelings of true friendship: It listens to the sound Of one hand clapping Applauding apparent foolishness. It dissolves boundaries Of individuality and replaces them With the commonality and conviviality of companionship, how wonderfully said."
  •  Hettie Van Zyl: "Well, well you know how to bring a important thought over to the reader thanks"
