»Birth place, never replaced«

by Mpendulo Mngomezulu

As I walk on the latest ghetto streets,
which I dwell upon,
I realise, as the sweet emancipation of the summer breeze blows against my skin,
I realise that my birth place will never be replaced.

This place that nurtured the divine development,
of my inter-twined character.
This place that holds a double exposed agenda,
the cruet of a cursor and revealator.
No longer there, yet still these perfect images, memories I possess,
No physical presence, this place still continues to impress.

This place where chimes contradict,
Chimes colonized by visuals, where hearing claims no position,
Never replaced, this place holds an infinite harmonius condition.
My birth place will never be replaced.

This place that breast-feeds,
and maintains the fertility of my emotional health.
Significantly therapeutic,
Thermal pulses my heart produces, I maintain emotional wealth.

No physical presence,nothing to see,
Yet this place eternally defines me!
