»Never loved you better«

by Happy Mhlongo

From the time I thought you were mine,
To the day you spit in my face.
And told me to back off
I had never loved you better
Never showed you my true colour of love
And never reveal my code of love to you
Because I knew you never love me
My cleverness didn't let me down
Although I don't love you to the degree of love
But experience didn't let me down.
Deep down inside I loved you
But still I knew that you like me
Although I tried to show you love, but I failed
Because love is nobody's fool,
I tried to hide the tears
But I failed because the tears are too much for me
I tried to show neither fear nor horror
But still love controlled me to your direction.
Although I knew you don't love me
I've gone to two directions like a broken loin,
Still I fail to convince you that I love, care, and respect
I was a lodger to you,
Giving you all you want,
Still you knew that love is not money but never tell
You kept quite till I open my eyes.
When my eyes was full of ice,
You leaved me!!!
Why I didn't see in the morning, when you come?
You made me believe, and arrange of destiny for us.
You I thought I've a dream to pursue,
Ja, I'll stay white forever.
