From the dungeon womb
Of a life steeped in the cesspool
Of earthly transgressions,
I emerged, surprising even myself
With this affinity for wrong doing.
Out I came clutching this banner
Declaring me an unrepentent criminal.
The grime of crime is all
That I came to know then;
Where no politician nor preacher
Could redeem my spoiled soul.
Their ears they have plugged up
With the cotton-wool of affluence.
Their eyes are blinded shut
By the glory of their achievements.
But I wallow in this mentality
Awaiting a long-awaited dream.
