»Fire and Ice«
I can't change who you are,
That's the one lesson I've been forced to learn.
It's as if you're angered by this fact.
What do you want me to do?
You're a fire that doesn't burn
Around me like you used to.
You expect me,
To be,
The difference in your life.
Yet I stay constant, always the same,
Never willing to change you.
I wish you would fall down instead of regaining your form.
Or melt the elements with your heat,
instead of being so
Lukewarm.
Why won't you disappear like the water I've evaporated?
Instead of melting like the ice I can freeze once again.
That's the one lesson I've been forced to learn.
It's as if you're angered by this fact.
What do you want me to do?
You're a fire that doesn't burn
Around me like you used to.
You expect me,
To be,
The difference in your life.
Yet I stay constant, always the same,
Never willing to change you.
I wish you would fall down instead of regaining your form.
Or melt the elements with your heat,
instead of being so
Lukewarm.
Why won't you disappear like the water I've evaporated?
Instead of melting like the ice I can freeze once again.
