»What Counts«

by Hettie Van Zyl

The Butterflies tip tap
their dance on the roses,
and the flowers are full of
honey making Bees.
The breeze of the wind
softly blowing,
high over the top of
the ever wrestling
leaves of the trees.
All those are made
so extremely pretty
to enjoy through the eyes
of you and me.
But it is just the few ones
who stood still
and really looking
that highly enjoy
this surrounded beauties
So many exchange
this joyful beauties
for the money making game
to became number one of all
take away all their time
forced them to run around
until the Sunset falls.
And leave behind all this
famous beauties
far off in the outer space
of their minds
until that one day
they will come and realize
those beauties were the things
that really count.
