»Nostalgia«

by Gaurav Sarup

Secret writings on the barks of dead trees
A wasteful summer spent cooking up fantasies
Blind faith and all its trappings
Death: As seen on TV

A craving for fame
A lust for solitude
You.

Three words almost spoken
Three words beaten round a bush
The truth is hard to say, but feels good when the gates have been opened
Three words and a bad verse

Three words and a longing.
He laughs as she nods her head sadly
A laugh filled with sadness? Or is it relief?

One truth understood by one man
One truth and one wound
Three words almost spoken
Three words and a bad verse.
