»Untitled -Just for you«

by Mthunzikazi Mbungwana

Now that you have crossed to the other side
Away from the distorted line called life
Just a little bit far from my eye sight
Just an inch from my physical reach

Now that you are rested in that garden of remembrance
The smell of your skin still feeds my nostrils
Nourishes my brain
The honest unshakable presence of your calm
Warm personality comfortable
Rests within my third eye.
For I know you are spiritually
Here with me.

  •  Kudyahakudadirwe Voice: "Some great poets of yesteryear think that lines must be approximately of similar length. What is your response to this my dear poetess? Is there anything like poet - poetess these days of gender consciousness?"
