»Doomed Destiny«

by Christopher Kudyahakudadirwe

Out-and-out I'm a wretch
whose oral orifice is mute.
My intercourse is interred deep
in my psyche, where no ghosts or
verity dwell. I've known
diffidence as the rugamuffin next door, whose salvo of reggae
disturbed Samora Machel Avenue.
Upon the shores of doom
all my hopes are destined.
