»Crawling Call«
by Jayram Daya
When you looked down on me
I looked up with hope
When I raced with the ants
I saw your toes go bye
With hands lifted, I called
To be released from the floor
With a hug, my cry stopped
To say, I love you Mom.
When life was a struggle
I looked up again
When rewards are few
I saw your help go by
With a forty fast, I called
To be guided from the pains
With my head down I prayed
To say, I love you my Lord.
I looked up with hope
When I raced with the ants
I saw your toes go bye
With hands lifted, I called
To be released from the floor
With a hug, my cry stopped
To say, I love you Mom.
When life was a struggle
I looked up again
When rewards are few
I saw your help go by
With a forty fast, I called
To be guided from the pains
With my head down I prayed
To say, I love you my Lord.

Christopher Kudyahakudadirwe: "Mothers! Mothers! Mothers, always there for us. Even when we are grown up people. Check this against my poem on these lovely, humble beings with 'long' hearts. Nice piece"
