»A Daughter Lost, A Daughter Found«

by Larry Lenwell

For years and years I searched for her, after she vanished
Her mother took her from my life and I found myself banished
I searched through Google, and the World Wide Web
I did not know whether she was alive or maybe dead

Time went by and I was more and more in despair
Wondering and thinking how life is not always fair
Then one night right out of the blue
Her husband sent me a mail saying "your daughter wants to meet you"

The emotions that followed I cannot explain
For the daughter that was lost was in my life again
I feel refreshed and feel for me a new life has been given
The days are brighter and man, I feel like livin'

There was a time I felt so sad and even thought of quitting
But now with life so great, to God I am recommitting
He watched me through it all, but never left my side
And now as time goes by I will forever in Him confide

My daughter, to you I send my love
Through all of these years you have always been thought of
Now we are together again never to part
It feels so good to have this new start
