»A Thought«

by Larry Lenwell

My life sits still between real and what is not
I sit here dazed at what I think about a lot
Crazed and ruined by life's experiences
Tells me now that I should not have kept those acquaintances

Woe is me that I stand before you
Shall I ask forgiveness, or bid life adieu
I tell you now that it is not appealing
The life I show you that I have always been concealing

Time is at hand and the future is near
The morning comes soon... and it is something I fear
