»Loveproof«
Shroud me in clouds of the heartbreak I've known
Staple my mouth shut with feelings never shown
Hold my stare just long enough to feel me suffer
As lives go, this is one that could be no tougher
Loveproof, loveproof I am not worthy
Loveproof, loveproof I am disposable
Loveproof, loveproof I accept your apology
Loveproof, loveproof I am unloveable
Take this heart from my chest and plant it on cement
Do you really believe it would grow under such torment
Cover my skin in shades of purple your favourite hue
Turn up the volume of your anger its nothing new
Loveproof, loveproof I am not worthy
Loveproof, loveproof I am disposable
Loveproof, loveproof I accept your apology
Loveproof, loveproof I am unloveable
Hurt me deeply, do the worst that you can
Hear me weeping, do you feel like a man?
Make me never want to leave you, a mass of damaged feelings
Could another person ever find that to be in any way appealing?
Loveproof, loveproof I am not worthy
Loveproof, loveproof I am disposable
Loveproof, loveproof I accept your apology
Loveproof, loveproof I am unloveable
To be continued...
