»Last Night«

by Larry Lenwell

The way I feel is very strange and something I'm not used to
Could it be the booze last night and the hotel room I think I have checked into
I kind of remember as we danced and laughed and talked throughout the night
Her hair of red, eyes of blue and a body that to look at, was a delight

Then all of a sudden, out of the blue, I felt it taking effect
That feeling of dizziness from the last drink I had, was causing a visual defect
From that drink on and for the rest of the night, my actions are a blur
But some things stand out as I recollect about my night with her

When I woke this morning feeling bad and sipped on a stale coca cola
I realized now this girl I met, her real name could not be Lola
Her hair of red was now a brown and her body looked like a Luke
Oh my God I have to go, I think I am going to puke
