Down at the end of the garden
Just beyond the roses and trees
lies a special place
Where I can be me
Down at the end of life's path
I see you and me together
Talking about the time we wasted
waiting for better weather
Down at the end of my arm
Is my hand holding yours
there was that time I let go
to open other doors
Down at the end of a cold Autumn
awaits another warmer, fresh Spring
the kind we used to spend united
Loving, Sharing, Caring
Down at the end of the garden
is where I will wait for you
Down at the end of the garden
Where real love is shared by Two.
Just beyond the roses and trees
lies a special place
Where I can be me
Down at the end of life's path
I see you and me together
Talking about the time we wasted
waiting for better weather
Down at the end of my arm
Is my hand holding yours
there was that time I let go
to open other doors
Down at the end of a cold Autumn
awaits another warmer, fresh Spring
the kind we used to spend united
Loving, Sharing, Caring
Down at the end of the garden
is where I will wait for you
Down at the end of the garden
Where real love is shared by Two.

Christopher Kudyahakudadirwe: "Very lyrical and quite captivating. I enjoyed reading through it. Makes me envision the garden and all the metaphorical gymanastics about poetry! I like it!"
