»Bitter Revenge And Sweet Tragedy«

by Josh Hay

My scars remind me that now are better days. The tides are rising. Believe in me, take my hand. We can make it. We can still survive through this. Dry your eyes my dear, we won't drown tonight. We are above the waves. We will never say goodbye.
This bitter revenge, this sweet tragedy. My heart begins to pound, I didn't make a sound. Panic runs through me, as I kill again. It's time to be set free. One scream and it'll be over. I lay you beside me, as we hold each other. I'll be here in the morning, with a smile on my lips. We'll start from the beginning. Take the spade, and reset time. Let this kiss be the cure to my bullet. I have wings for the sake of falling. Let this be the final episode. A prophecy born from a reverie, senseless tears fall. Heal me. We'll be home soon. Oh, the water is rising. I won't kill again, for the sake of you. I've covered my tracks, run with me. Take my hand, we will reach freedom again. Let the world know of our love. My cards are gone, i'm running on empty, the tides are getting higher. Tragedy ends with you. Upon the waves. Let us end this. Kiss me, and I am yours. We will survive. No more excuses, my love for you is endless. Is this what dreaming feels like? I must be dreaming. The cracks in the pavement won't break my stride.
