»A Day Never Expected«

by Ashik Rajak

After all those long years I'd been with you,
And all those moments of happiness and sorrows that we've been through,
Together.

One morning led me to,
Something I never felt and thought I would have to,
Pass through.

Who could have guessed that one day would come,
When you'd say I was no one of yours,
And who knows how I felt,
To hear those words from someone I trusted and loved, so much.

This caused me and my world to drown,
Into an ocean which could not be found.
And it hurt me more than I thought it would,
Broke my heart into pieces that could,
Never be put back again.

My mind has become useless,
My body's been paralyzed,
And now, here I lie, on my bed
Numb, dumb and dead.
