Other poems by Thabani Ray Ngwenya:
»The dreamer«
She strolls in the lazy summer breeze
In calmness of spirit
And serenity of thought
Her eyes are shut
And she will stumble
If she will, if at all
The woods seemingly do not give
The slightest scare
And though her feet bare
Instinct makes her dare
She enjoys her new found
Sense of satisfaction
She lies down
By the stagnant, peaceful waters
And hums a melody as she composes
The sun peeps through the leaves
A delightful sensation to her skin
The cuckoos tut in the meadows
And the timing foxes
Slink in the tufts
She is unaware
She is dreaming
She even reaches places
Warriors dread to dare
Her dream leads
And she follows on blindly
She does not see
As she passes through the briers
And meadows far
Dreaming and dreaming
All the time
The dreamer is ignorant
Of the passage of time
Her ignorance not deliberate
Blame the dream
It's not schizzo, no!
Not even dementia
Just a tame, harmless dream
Except, ofcourse
She can't help it
'Dream on, Dreamer'.
In calmness of spirit
And serenity of thought
Her eyes are shut
And she will stumble
If she will, if at all
The woods seemingly do not give
The slightest scare
And though her feet bare

Maureen Direro: "I am a dreamer indeed and i shall dream on...good job brother its not everyday we find abstract poets thanks for reminding"
