»Never True«

(by Jamie Lee Plumley)

Good luck my first time lover
Good bye to the one I knew
I don't think there could be another
That could love me quite like you

I never thought I would cope with heart ache
Like you gave to me so soon
Never did I think I'd allow someone to take
As much of my heart as did you

Forever will your thoughts dwell in my mind
As the one I thought I knew
How was I to know that I grew blind
To the fact that your love wasn't true

Your smile is just a sad reminder
Of how false a kiss can be
To prove no man could be blinder
To the game of Love as me

Never again shall I trust another
With my whole heart as I did you
I've gained such knowledge as with no other
That true love is never true
