We don't want to say goodbye
We don't want to say farewell
We don't even want to know the truth
Because we don't want you to go
So instead we keep on talking
All aroung the edges walking
Never wanting to enter deeper in
Afraid of what we'll see within
So around the truth we float
All the stories and the jokes
Not wanting to deal with reality
In the meantime you have no choice
Pain is yours and not by choice
The way you smile and give us hope
Telling us that you can cope
We realy admire your strength and your courage
Your brave heart, and the all encompassing love
You show to everyone, esp to your wife and sons
Your thoughtfulness and care...
Thank you for joining in the stories,
And yes we will keep on talking
All around the edges walking
And we'll keep on smiling, talking and laughing
Because we love you...
We hope that the talking and the laughing
will help to keep the pain at bay
