by Alexis Mabotho Rantloane

What u think shall be
As much I as I know that
I can't seem to change the negativity in me

I look in the mirror everyday
And I'm not impressed with what is in my way

I'm in a dark and lonely hole
I know the light is there but I first need to make a mends with my soul
Before I reach the end of the tunnel where there is clarity and light
I need to conquer this battle with myself and the world and get some insight

I'm searching for God, Jesus and the holy spirit
So I can finally be whole and discover my fulfillment
Is it enough that I'm reading the bible and going to church
Is that all I need to complete my faithful search

I feel there is something im missing
Something I'm not seeing
There is a message lost in the space between
Him and me

I wish he could write it down or spell it out for me
So I can follow the path that was meant for me

But it's not that simple I know
What u reap is what u sow
So does that mean I did something wrong
To be left in this turmoil and struggle for so long

I'm seeking the divine secret
That a few have discovered yet battle with explaining it to us weaklings

Coz we know, yet act so differently
So what lessons have we learnt really?
