»Till May«

by Andreas Buchholz

I cannot sleep,
I cry and weep
an ocean deep
and blue.

So cold's the night
moon's just in sight,
shines golden light
on you.

Well, I look up to the stars in the sky,
once you'll get there, but the mountain is high.
Like an eagle, in my dream I can fly,
still I wake up in the bed where I lie.
Why?

Sometimes I fear
although she's near
and oh so dear
to me.

Luck's been unkind,
Love's hard to find
but in my mind
I see.

Well, I look up to the stars in the sky,
once you'll get there, but the mountain is high.
Like an eagle, in my dream I can fly,
still I wake up in the bed where I lie.
Why?

Life's but a fight,
come black or white,
I'll stand upright
today.

Don't mind the pain,
just walk the lane,
I will sustain
till may.

Well, I look up to the stars in the sky,
once you'll get there, but the mountain is high.
Like an eagle, in my dream I can fly,
still I wake up in the bed where I lie.
Why?
