»My Fairy Tale«
Elegantly dressed I march;
A beautiful princess I am,
I hoped for just a glance...
But the frog prince never noticed.
Maybe I should grow my hair a little longer;
A little make-up might do;
Or maybe a heel will lift me up...
All was futile.
Squirming in my loneliness and misery,
Awaiting my knight in a black horse;
For my prince will come to my rescue...
He never pitched.
Unwearyingly I held on to the unknown;
Hoping for a happily ever after fairy tale,
All the love I was willing to offer...
It was squandered.
I adopted a different character;
So to suit his fairly woman;
I was a beast after a beauty pursuing another...
Like there's a sharp prink in his eyes he resisted to notice.
None made sense until now;
I desire to live in my childhood books,
Sailing among clouds and stars in fairy land...
It's a pity his love I may never receive.
A beautiful princess I am,
I hoped for just a glance...
But the frog prince never noticed.
Maybe I should grow my hair a little longer;
A little make-up might do;
Or maybe a heel will lift me up...
All was futile.
Squirming in my loneliness and misery,
Awaiting my knight in a black horse;
