»What Can't Be«

by Beaulah Bernice Boois

A love that used to be can be no more
A yearning heart longs to adore
Come back to me true love of mine
So forever the sun can continue to shine

I blame you for the love I've lost
Thought you'd love me above all cost
Tender and mild, the seed was planted
Only for you to take it for granted
Though still, I want to know what love really is...
