»happy new you«

by Puleng Monare

Just like spring day
you blossom into colour
you boast your good characters
and the brightness of the time.
Like the flower of the spring day
you become the happy you.

Resolutions, determination of the new u
dreams that have not been achieved
roads that have not been walked on
songs that have not been sang
relationships that have not been formed.
Resolutions of the new you.

Beauty of the thoughts
your mind pregnant with potential
potential of knowing you can
doing what you can, whenever u can.
Believing that you have already stood-up, already bounced back
bounced back harder that before.
Confusion being a thing of the past & failure not being in your vocabulary.

Hope, wish and pray for the best
success just being around the corner
success just s little step ahead of you.
Remembering your goals & what you stand for
who u are
being at ease with who you are
loving the imperfect reflection in the mirror.
Learning to laugh at life
laughter of survival.
Being a happy new u,
letting go of the past
letting go of the strife & forgiving.

Forgetting the accusing voices of life
the voices you once heard,
forgetting for the sake of keeping peace.
Stopping the war that has been ranging on for years
world war 3
the war caused by acceptance
the war of fitting in,
but now the war is over.
Peace, love & success are all the heart fills.
Independency is what u have learned.

Being a happy new you
you have realised the power of your bloodline
the power u possess for being you
the power of being a woman.
Being a happy new you
you can cross all boarders
you have learned to say NO
you have learned to be simply beautiful,
Being a happy new you.
