You listened to my tears as they did fall
You left me in an empty room
That is not all
You took with you your smile
The moments that I most cherished as a child
Now that you have gone
I sit and think what did go wrong
Then I realize it is not up to me to decide
You were always by my side
As an infant growing up as a child
Teenager, adult you still saw me cry
Those moments when I would come to you
Ask you for help and tell you the truth
There is something I must confess
No one can take away my memories that you left
The times that we did laugh
When you were cross with me and I thought I was smart
Yes you kept me in my place
Even when we had dinner and I peeped at you when we said grace
Strange is it not
That life means so much
You were not just a mother to me
A true friend indeed
Yes I know that you were leant to me
One day we will meet
Till that day I will continue to pray
To thank you for all you did what more can I say
Mother you were my angel that no one else has met
You were perfect, you had all my respect
You left me in an empty room
That is not all
You took with you your smile
The moments that I most cherished as a child
Now that you have gone
I sit and think what did go wrong
Then I realize it is not up to me to decide
You were always by my side
As an infant growing up as a child
Teenager, adult you still saw me cry
Those moments when I would come to you
Ask you for help and tell you the truth
There is something I must confess
No one can take away my memories that you left
The times that we did laugh
When you were cross with me and I thought I was smart
Yes you kept me in my place
Even when we had dinner and I peeped at you when we said grace

Yes I know that you were leant to me
