»Disarray«

by Berto Kamp

Images flashing through my mind
Thinking who will see this kind
What I have become, one that cannot experience fun
Why is it so
Maybe you can tell me I do not know
Tried over and over to forget
Thought that maybe I could beat the rest
You took hold of me
Thought you did comfort my needs
No instead
You created me a mess
Turned my mind inside out
Left me to deal with this drought
Nothing can now replenish me
As I fall aimlessly to my broken knees
Sinking slowly into the ground
I will never be found
Knowing that not even nature will accept me this way
I have been scarred and can never be saved
Sorry I am told just try and behave
