»Possibility«

by Berto Kamp

Do you hear my silence out there
You are the only one that cares
So I thought instead you fled
I know you did leave walking away like a thief
Did you not say that you would stay
That was my belief
Listen to my heart beat
Or was it when I feel off my feet
Did you not want to listen to my last sigh
Touch my lips as you say good bye
Wrap your arms around me
So that my cold body can feel your heat
The possibility I will never know
Instead I will be left cold
You will move away from me
Your next victim I hope they can believe
I will return back one day
Maybe not as like an infertile seed I will lay
