»Zenith«

by Berto Kamp

The mountain that I climb
Will I reach the top in time
Or will the mountain move
The walk up hill will prove
Battling to reach the top
Is this a battle I have already lost
How fast will I walk
Not knowing my own thoughts
What is it with me
I struggle indefinitely
Tried to be a friend
Mending emotions that soon will end
Like a river that is unknown
Meandering around the like blood that disfigures the ground below
Stained and congealed
My life
As if my limbs were caught in a turning wheel
Should I sacrifice my thoughts
Maybe tell you how I feel
This is a painful ordeal
