»Nasty piece of work«

by Nnete Mabitsela

Undress the silhouette
Soon shield yourself from the wrath of hate
Constant tribulations stare me in the eye
I know it can?t be fate.
Steadily trying to wipe my false slate,
Maybe I was a victim of life?s bait?
Fascinated by the aroma of all things stale,
Self pity I soon exhale
Scuffle for the easy way out
Let I pretend I was never told,
?You are nothing but a coward?,
For many years I shall nothing behold.
Careless at mind,
Underestimate the repercussion of karma
I look behind,
Familiarities never seen and yet I wonder, why?.
I continue walking away?
Like thee the writer of Emotion hath already uttered
Symphonies I chase, Harmony never embrace
