»The Best«

by Alieux Casey

Yesterday
i realized
your insignificance:
not in the word
but the feeling,
finally.
don?t know how,
but your treatment of
me,
then
i can now smile.
you?re insiginificant!

I was unable to see what
was
obvious to everyone else.
the reality of you
the realness.
the you.
and now the friends you climbed over me emotionally
to get to---
they come to apologize.

Time has passed
and I?ve moved on
to better things
somehow.
and I never thought the day would come
that I could see you
and feel nothing,

even as you crawl to me
to apologize.

I wish you the best that your karma has to offer.
