»Abondoned«

by Loyiso

Silent night amplifies the blistering cold,
With my arm wrapped around my spouse I barely feel
The scarring weathers? meanwhile?.
The silence in the alley echoes the screams of my abandoned child.

As the sun rises, I open my eyes treated to a breakfast in bed,
I live like a celebrity in my home,
I close my eyes to taste.
Vivid images, where is she now??
She is still my own?

I watch them play so innocent,
Not yet exposed to the harshness of reality
I pay tribute to a seed planted in mud,
Irrigated by gail winds, her birth a memory?

But she grows,
so strong she germinates a thorn-less rose.
And I wish I never left her to rise
In an age where her 1st step would be her demise

--end--
