»you make it«

by Heather Keogh

How long have I been in this storm?
So overwhelmed by life's reckless form
This Water's getting harder to tread
Makes me wonder if I'll ever survive
With these waves crashing over my head

But When I'm with you
I know things are alright
When I see you
you make things feel brand new

My darkness has turned into light
Never knew it could be like this,
Seeing you smile,
makes it all worth my while,
makes me feel alive

How long have I been in this storm?
So overwhelmed by life's reckless form
This Water's getting harder to tread
Makes me wonder if I'll ever survive
With these waves crashing over my head

Would you catch me if I fall?
So I can get lost into your eyes
And everything will be alright

I know you didn't bring me out here to drown
I'm so used to feeling like am I ten feet under and turned upside down
I'm Barely surviving , but you have become my purpose
Because I'm so used to living underneath my own surface

Scared of the unknown
Felt so worthless for so long, its somewhere I belong
I've gave up on myself,
felt so alone,
you make it easy,
you make it easier for me
you make it easy
somewhere I can be
you make it easy
you make it easier to see

My darkness has turned into light
Never knew it could be like this,
Seeing you smile,
makes it all worth my while,
makes me feel alive
